The Real World Evidence Unit, housed within the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, has a dedicated team that conducts timely health-focused real world evidence research studies, which utilizes provincial administrative health data assets.

Our CoLab Network

The Alberta Real World Evidence Consortium is a member of the CoLab network partner, the Alberta Drug and Technology Evaluation Consortium (ADTEC).

CoLab

CoLab is made up of a network of experts from across Canada who, as part of the Post-Market Drug and Evaluation (PMDE) program, conduct real world evidence research studies to support key health system decisions on drug safety and effectiveness.

Alberta Drug and Technology Evaluation Consortium

Members of the ADTEC have expertise in epidemiological methods, policy, evaluation, and health economics. They conduct research for Canada’s federal, provincial, and territorial decision makers.

Oncology Outcomes

Alberta Oncology Outcomes (O2) is a highly experienced resource for oncology outcomes and real world evidence queries, ensuring the quality and integrity of results to accelerate the transformation of projects into clinical practice and policy impact.

Northern Alberta Clinical Trials and Research Centre

NACTRC is a collaboration between Alberta Health Services and the University of Alberta. The services NACTRC provides include legal review of confidentiality and research agreements.
